NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) are a UK based Awarding Body that provide a range of globally-recognised, vocationally-related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all work places.
As an awarding body NEBOSH consult widely with industry, governments, regulators and practitioners to develop a framework of qualifications that meet their stakeholder’s needs. NEBOSH do not deliver the training but set clear guidance as to what should be taught and then set the exam papers and mark the examinations, ensuring fairness and consistency in those achieving NEBOSH qualifications.
NEBOSH course providers, such are RRC are accredited by NEBOSH to deliver NEBOSH courses and are then subject to close monitoring by NEBOSH to ensure good quality training and administration. NEBOSH Qualifications are recognised by employers throughout the world and along with professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
NEBOSH Quality in Examinations NEBOSH’s technical standards are overseen by a Qualification and Technical Council with representatives drawn from UK institutions and are approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), which has a UK wide regulatory remit. NEBOSH examinations and assessments are set by its professionally qualified staff assisted by external examiners, most of whom are Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners operating within industry, the public sector or in enforcement.
